Policy Statement

Woking Squash Club is committed to ensuring that squash is accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all. The Club values diversity and is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and eliminating discrimination, harassment, and victimisation.

This policy complies with the Equality Act 2010 and aligns with England Squash Equality, Diversity and Inclusion guidance.

Scope

This policy applies to all individuals involved with the Club, including:

  • Members (adult and junior)

  • Coaches, officials, and volunteers

  • Committee members

  • Parents, carers, and visitors

Commitment

Woking Squash Club will not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic, including:

  • Age

  • Disability

  • Gender reassignment

  • Marriage or civil partnership

  • Pregnancy or maternity

  • Race

  • Religion or belief

  • Sex

  • Sexual orientation

The Club will make reasonable adjustments where practicable to enable participation and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • The Club Committee is responsible for implementing and monitoring this policy

  • All members are expected to uphold inclusive behaviours and challenge discrimination where appropriate

  • Any breach of this policy may result in action under the Club’s Complaints and Disciplinary Policy

 

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns relating to discrimination, harassment, or exclusion should be raised with a member of the Club Committee and will be addressed in a fair and confidential manner.

 

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or following changes in legislation or England Squash guidance.
